Maritana, an iconic 1920's sandstone waterfront home in Elvina Bay is now on the market.

It has been offered by Lachlan Elder from LJ Hooker Mona Vale.

Situated on 2,380 sqm of north facing land, Maritana at 61-63 Douglass Estate comes with five bedrooms, living and entertaining spaces, verandahs, established gardens, and Tuscan inspired terraces.

Other highlights include 52 metres of frontage to Pittwater, boat shed and Pittwater vistas.

Elvina Bay is a quick 5-minute boat ride to Church Point and from here a 45-minute drive to the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The property was last sold for $6.25 million in 2007.

Maritana was built in the 1920's for the Gibsons of retailers Foy & Gibson.

It traded at $324,000 in 1983 when then Mudgee pastoralist-cum-furniture-maker Antony Loneragan and his wife Elaine bought it from the Hemery family.

After being refurbished by Dermer Bennet, the home sold for $1 million in 1992.
