The recent Toorak auction of Hugh and Jenny Falcon’s family home saw bidding open at $3.6 million to its eventual purchaser.

A third bidder placed a final $1000 bid with it then sold at $4.013 million, past its reserve price by more than $250,000.

Three bidders competed for the four-bedroom house on Fairbairn Road.

Kay & Burton agent Darren Lewenberg advised all three bidders were local families.

Lush green outlooks from each of the rooms come following the renovation and extension of the 1889 Victorian home designed by Falcon’s sister, Suzanne Macdonald of SMAC Design.

It was built by Andrew Li Rosi about eight years ago. Hugh is Macquarie’s head of equity capital markets and Jenny is a former commercial lawyer and naturopath.
