La Cabana, a 1940s style mountain lodge in the Blue Mountains has been scheduled for auction on October 14.

It has been offered by Katrina Allport from Ray White Blackheath.

Set over one acre in the heart of Blackheath, La Cabana at 13 Prince Edward Street was built by Austrian-born modernist architect H.P. Oser.

Held by the same family for almost 50 years, the house comes with three bedrooms, an updated kitchen, and sun-filled patio for outdoor entertaining and living.

It completes with original timber floorboards and roaring open fireplace, large lounge room windows overlooking adjoining crown land.

La Cabana is only minutes from the village, train station and local school, and about a 1 hour 40 minutes to Sydney CBD.

“A small acreage so close to Blackheath Village is exceptionally rare,” Ray White Blackheath’s Katrina Allport said.

“This property is of historical architectural significance.”

The suburb's median house price sits at $585,000 according to CoreLogic.
