It was the grandson of Kevin Seymour, one of Brisbane’s best-known developers, who was behind the purchase last weekend of a 1980s riverfront New Farm mansion for $7.75 million.

Ben Seymour envisages a six-storey, six apartment complex for the 875 sqm Griffith Street site which sold through Ray White.

It was bought from Glenice and Allan Mein who had paid $1.2 million in 1999.

Kevin Seymour, now approaching 80 now and trying to take it a bit easier, enjoys getting the younger family member ones involved.

Ben Seymour will soon launch The Oxlade, a high-end New Farm apartment development done with his siblings Trent and Kate.

Kevin Seymour's projects include Macquarie One at Teneriffe 11 years ago.
