Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has taken the family's Canberra home off the market.

The Mueller Street, Yarralumla house was listed with a $2,250,000 price tag in May.

''It's off the market for the time being,'' Peter Blackshaw agent Shane Killalea said.

But the agent did not provide further comments to the local paper as to why the home had been taken off the market.

The Rudd family vacated the house in late 2011 following son Marcus' school completion and it had been leased out until about May this year.
