Leading jockey Sam Clipperton has listed his Kingsford investment apartment for auction.

N.G. Farah agent Joe Recep has scheduled an August 15 auction with an $875,000 price guide.

The 90 sqm Houston Rd apartment, now near the new light rail, was bought in 2015, after which the apartment was refurbished.

The three bedroom, two bathroom apartment comes with three balconies on the first floor of an early 1970s block of 11 units sold off by Effie Holdings’s Michael Callaghan.

The unit became a $700 a week rental while Clipperton was based in Hong Kong, but he’s now happily based in Rose Bay with his partner Morgan. They spent $1.9 million on a three bedroom townhouse last year.

The 26-year-old jockey, whose most recent major win was on Destiny’s Kiss in the Winter Cup, rode Centimental to finish fourth in the controversial first race at Rosehill yesterday.
