Tony Baildon and Sophia Malone have listed their Cranbrook Road, Bellevue Hill for auction through Martin Maskin at Raine and Horne double bay.

The former banker Tony Baildon and his wife paid $5.525 million through Raine & Horne double bay agent Martin Maskin in 2010 for the circa-1918 Arts and Crafts-influenced residence.

It was designed around nine decades ago by the architectural firm Manson & Pickering.

It is named Inverinate – possibly after a small village on Loch Duich in the Scottish Highlands – after being built for Mark Reginald MacRae, who lived there until 1948.

Its next owner was Sir Kenneth Noad, a medical practitioner, who resided at the house for the next three decades.

The couple bought the Cranbrook Road property for $5,525,000 from property investor Wayne White who had paid $5,005,000 in 2008 and then extensively renovated the two-storey residence, which features an impressive entrance hall.
