Melbourne interior designer David Hicks is selling his St Kilda Road, Melbourne apartment that he designed from scratch.

David designed the lock and leave three bedroom apartment in the Elenberg Fraser designed, Morry Schwartz-built development after paying $2,975,000 in 2007.

No expense was spared in the interiors, with hand selected materials in the gallery like open spaces with travertine-lined floors.

He layered in his collection of vintage, antique and modern furniture and art.

Terraces lead off every room of the apartment, with a leafy and secluded outlook over South Yarra

He's previously said he loves apartment living, and from a design perspective he suggests contained spaces mean owners can often go a little more glamorous than they would with a house.

Kay & Burton South Yarra agents Damon Krongold and Tom Staughton have a March 15 offer deadline.
