How long have you been in the industry?

I’m into the seventh year of my second commercial property career.

What’s happening in the area you specialise in?

Plenty of activity – lots of enquiry and an encouraging amount of optimism.

Describe the most interesting property you have sold

In my first career, I sold of a lot of property in Fremantle’s West End – which, although it was a secret for a while, turned out to be the University of Notre Dame.

What are the ingredients to being successful in your job?

Being organised and focused.

What aspects of your role do you enjoy the most?

Flexibility – in many ways you are running your own business. You have the ability to seek opportunities, and I enjoy trying to solve a problem creatively, putting buyers and sellers together.

Where would invest a spare $750,000?

I like the property syndicates – I’m probably now of an age where the strong income stream is important, rather than taking on too much risk. Do you have a spare $750,000?

Which football team do you support?

The Dockers – the only bigger fans I know are my boss, and my son.

What’s your favourite app or techno gadget?

Carbon paper

How do you use social media?

By accessing my wife’s Facebook account.
