On Monday 24th of October, the iCities: World Class CBDs series conference kicks off. First held in Kuala Lumpur, this year's conference is to be held at the Langham Hotel on Southbank.

iCities is owned and operated by iProperty Group, a network property under the REA Group umbrella brand.

Over two days, the conference will focus on the importance of city development and the opportunities to innovate and integrate the infrastructure of a city, while considering sociocultural implications.

Planning for CBDs of the future is an ongoing challenge for governments and councils globally. iCities brings together international speakers at the forefront of CBD design and infrastructure, providing insights that will help build a strong and cohesive CBD of tomorrow.

It’s fitting that iCities: World Class CBDs will take place this month in Melbourne, arguably already one of the world’s great cities.

Arthur Charlaftis, Chief Operating Officer (International), REA Group

Some of the speakers scheduled to address the conference include:

  • Nicolas Buchoud, President of The Grand Paris Alliance
  • Danni Addison, Victorian CEO of the UDIA
  • Peter Seamer, CEO of the Victorian Planning Authority
  • David Fitzpatrick, Special Projects, Chief Planner's Office, City of Toronto
  • Tracey Fellows, CEO of REA Group, Australia
