Hotelier Fraser Short has bought The Farm from Tom Lane.

Known for its Grow, Feed, Educate and Give Back philosophy, the business has been listed for sale earlier this year.

The new owners, local business and property owners Fraser and Ally Short will take in on after its settles later this year.

The realestate.com.au website doesn't give a price advisory.

Tom Lane, grandson of Oroton fashion empire founder, moved to Byron Bay in search of a big old Queenslander as their holiday home and became partners in the organic farming and tourist venture known as The Farm.

They plan to turn their attention to The Range, a 120 acre property.

Short owns The Balcony Bar and Oyster Co at Byron Bay.
