Retired property developers Eli and Judith Bensimon are selling their long-held Toorak home.

The home on the dress circle Hopetoun Avenue dates back to 1910.

It cost the couple $3.2 million in 2006.

They're now asking $6.5 million to $7 million through Marshall White agents Richard Mackinnon and Marcus Chiminello.

Set on 610 square metres, the home has four bedrooms, a study and a family room opens to the manicured private west facing garden.

The Bensimon's owned a successful wholesale and retail gem merchant for over three decades.
