A luxury Hollywood-style home in Brisbane’s Ascot has been listed for December auction.

Tthe five-bedroom, four-bathroom home at 68 Kitchener Road sits on a 1,695 sqm block on one of Ascot's best streets.

The classic art deco home features include high ceilings, French windows and heated swimming pool.

Current homeowners Eric and Sarina Lau, who own one of Brisbane’s best restaurants, Bacchus at South Bank, purchased the property in 2013 at $3.26 million when they opened their venue in 2012.

“We were actually well advanced on the DA for another block to build but we fell in love with this house and bought it in the auction, so we decided to renovate instead and it was a big job but we are very pleased with how it turned out,” the Lau couple said.

The home offers an 84-lamp chandelier in the home’s hotel-like foyer, a manicured front garden and two distinct wings.

Ray White New Farm agent Matt Lancashire has the listing.

The home is set to sell at auction on Saturday, December 5, if not sold prior.
