Hobart's loss making resales felt most in Derwent Valley, Brighton: CoreLogic Pain & Gain

Some 8.8 percent of Hobart homes resold over the December 2015 quarter were at a loss which was the lowest proportion for the city since December 2011.

Across the council areas, Derwent Valley (20 percent), Brighton (19.6 percent) and Clarence (11.6 percent) had the highest proportion of loss-making resales over the quarter. The proportion of loss-making resales was lowest in Kingborough (1.8 percent), Hobart (4.9 percent) and Sorrel (8.3 percent) council areas.
