The former Hollywood Hills house of the late Heath Ledger has been listed for sale. Nicknamed "The Tree House", it’s been given a US$2,995,000 asking price by the soap opera star Adrian Bellani, currently in the Brad Pitt-led Moneyball.

It’s a 173-square-metre 1951-built pad that features two bedrooms, two bathrooms – even an outdoor theatre – all surrounded by sycamore trees.

Ledger bought the Laurel Canyon property from Ellen DeGeneres in 2005 for US$2.1 million – and he and girlfriend Michelle Williams lived there until their split in 2007. The house was then sold to its current owner in July 2008 for US$2.5 million after Ledger's death from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in January 2008.

It was briefly listed in 2009 at a US$3,695,000 asking price. It's listed through John Galich at Rodeo Realty. Ellen DeGeneres paid US$1,275,000 in 2004.
