Hawthorn East sale secures Moomba weekend's top result

A house at Hawthorn East has been sold for $3.05 million, the most expensive sale in Melbourne over the Moomba long weekend.

Located at 18 Carlyle Street, the 1891 Victorian house sits on 710 sqm.

The property offers three bedrooms plus study, two bathrooms as well as fireside sitting room, large home-office and elegant formal lounge.

Fine dining, kitchen/living areas and garden-set studio, or fourth bedroom/third bathroom and adjoining separate gym/rumpus is also available.

Amenities are within close proximity to the property including tram, train, parklands, Auburn Village and Junction shopping.

It last sold for $120,100 in 1984.

The property was offered through Kay and Burton agents Walter Dodich and Will Russell.
