A four bedroom Hawthorn house has sold for $1.23 million making it Adelaide’s most expensive weekend auction sale.

Located at 28 Clifton Street, the 789 sqm property has six main rooms.

Built in 1910 it last sold in 2009 for $860,000.

It features four bedrooms, three with built in-robes while the main bedroom has an ensuite.

There is also a sitting  room with open fire place and large open plan kitchen/dining room that leads to the outdoor area that has an in-ground swimming pool.

The kitchen features Caesar stone bench tops, European appliances including a gas cook top.

Other features includes wine cupboard, two car garage and tool shed.

The property is within walking distance to public transport.

The property was offered through Klemich Real Estate agent John Smith.
