Hawk Grant Birchall sells Hawthorn East flat as he upgrades to Glen Iris house

Hawthorn AFL player Grant Birchall has secured $652,000 for his apartment in Hawthorn East through Jellis Craig agent Kevin O’Brien.

The Hawthorn defender bought the two floor apartment for about $518,000 in 2007. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two car places.

Title Tattle gleans he spent around $1.4 million on his recent four bedroom Glen Iris house purchase also through Jellis Craig.

The two-time AFL premiership player re-signed late last year with Hawthorn until the end of the 2017 season.

He grew up in Shearwater, a small beachside town outside Devonport in Tasmania.
