Sydney businessman Anton Aldred, scion of the Cementaid International Group family, has paid $3.26 million for a Bowral property.

The property, Hathaway, on Kimberley Drive, features four bedrooms.

The 0.8ha fenced woodland area at the rear of the property can be accessed via a separate driveway.

It was the Hanning family who sold the 2ha property since they are returning to Mosman.

The family purchased the property in 2007 for $1.8 million, when it took a similar time to sell, according to CoreLogic.

They had been seeking $3.65 million since March last year.

The luxury Bowral trophy home set in Michael Bligh gardens, features a 1994-built homestead.

Set across one level, the home has four bedrooms, a study and separate formal living and dining areas.

The grounds have water features, a solar heated swimming pool, a glass green house and garden shedding.
