Greg Norman Florida listing seeks $US25 million Le Lac buyers
The Great White Shark is trying to make a killing on the Florida waterside.
Greg Norman, a two time golf major winner, is looking to pocket a cool $US25 million for a 29,000 square foot lakeside mansion development set for constructed in Florida’s Boca Raton region, Golf Week has reported.
Norman purchased the Le Lac property (pictured below) for $7 million back in 2007 when he was trying to get close to nearby resident and fellow sporting superstar, Chris Evert.
After tying the knot in 2007, the couple divorced in 2009 and Norman rarely used the existing 1985 house on the property, according to GossipExtra.com.
After listing the 7.5 acre lakeside holding last month for $6 million ($1 million less than he paid), Norman has quickly reassessed his lie and seems set to begin to develop the site with the new home coming with its $25 million asking price, Realtor.com has said.
Replete with seven bedrooms, and nineteen bathrooms the wooded plantation style lot that is also “amenable to helicopter access”, the Mediterranean style villa constructed from hewn stone and wood, will also feature a bridged pair of entry guard houses and a separate lakeside villa.
The property is close to some of Florida’s finest golf links and will be ready to move-in circa 2015. It is adjacent to the Polo Club of Boca Raton golf course.
Greg Norman has been a major entrepreneurial success of the course with his hand on everything from golf course design, to wine and beef production.
It is by no means Greg Norman’s first venture into property investment. He previously made waves back in 2007 when he listed his residence on Florida’s Jupiter Island for a staggering $US65 million, about $60 million more than he paid for the property back in 1991.
