The Greater Western Sydney Giants midfielder Rhys Palmer has sold his Newtown apartment at auction for $1.18 million.

The three bedroom Enmore Road unit features a spacious open terrace that's accessible through two of the bedrooms or the kitchen and the master bedroom meeting the sun deck.

Previously a Fremantle prodigy, Palmer won the AFL Rising Star award in 2008m before a serious knee injury dented his development. He has recently notched his 100th game in AFL.

Selling agent Braden Walters of McGrath Newtown had an auction price of between $1 million and $1.1 million for the property.
