Glenorie becomes The Bachelor home

Channel Ten's popular dating reality series The Bachelor Australia is moving to the semi-rural NSW suburb Glenorie and leaving behind its Hunters Hill mansion Clifton.

Season four will be filmed at the Spanish-theme Glenorie mansion, which is reported to be worth around $3.8 million.

The property hasn't traded since 1986 when the Pirina family paid $150,000 before completing the home in 1995.

Abbott Place is home to numerous million-dollar mansions, with the neighbouring home selling for $3.4 million in May last year. 

Despite the move from Clifton, The Bachelor contestants haven't downgraded, having access to an Olympic sized swimming pool and a tennis court on the two hectare property.

The Bachelor Australia was filmed in the inner-city suburb of Hunters Hill at a cost of $25,000 a week.

The show's first season was filmed at the $10 million La Joie de Vivre mansion in Bayview, then the heritage-listed waterfront estate Clifton in Hunters Hill.
