Gina Rinehart buys Warrabah Station in New England
Gina Rinehart has expanded her beef production in New England, with the purchase of the historic Warrabah Station.
Set between Kingstown and Manilla, the acquisition takes Rinehart's New England properties to six including Glendon Park.
"There are considerable players in the global meat export market. We are expanding our development into that market, and we have 23,000 Wagyu on the ground," he said.
Ms Rinehart owns one of the world's biggest full-blood and pure-bled wagyu herds, with more than 8000 head.
The Wagyu are finished and processed in Australia, then delivered into mainly local and some overseas markets, including the Nobu restaurants in Australia and overseas.
Fire surrounded the historic Warrabah Station earlier this year.
The drought has prompted the farm to downsized their herd to 400 head from 1400.
