A Georgian style brick residence in South Yarra sold for $6,300,000, at an auction on the 19th of October.

Set on a 528 square metre block at 104 Caroline Street, the two story abode is described in the listing as an "exceedingly rare opportunity."

It features three bedrooms, and two bathrooms.

The South Yarra Hill corner allotment is located moments from the Yarra River, the Domain Precinct, Botanic Gardens, Toorak Rd's boutiques and restaurants and elite schools.

Retaining original charm, the entrance hall leads through to a formal sitting and living room with open fire and a sunny study opening to the deep private northeast facing garden.

The circa 1926 home far exceeded expectations - A price guide of $5- $5.5 million was given in the statement of information.

James Tomlinson and Rae Tomlinson, from Marshall White Stonnington, listed the sale.
