Geelong AFL football club chief executive Brian Cook secured the weekend sale of his Albert Park terrace, but only after the auction started and ended with his $1.85 million vendor bid.

It sold post auction at an undisclosed price through John Holdsworth at Greg Hocking Holdworth, in conjunction with Craig Knudsen of Vendormarketing.com.au, the recently established bayside vendor marketing advocacy company.

It had been marketed with $1.8-million plus hopes.

It's a stylish Brad Hooper-designed terrace home with Jack Merlo-designed landscaped garden.

There are three upstairs bedroom plus a study, which had the give-away signs of the owner's AFL allegiance.

It was bought in 2001 for $750,000 when Cook moved from Highton.
