"The Buehler House", designed by iconic American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, has been listed for sale with price hopes of US$4,995,000.

It was built in 1948 for Maynard and Katie Buehler and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home includes Wright's distinctive sloping ceilings and angular walls. Japanese garden-inspired grounds were designed by Henry Matsutani.

There is also a Japanese tea house, gazebo and guest house on the property, which is in Orinda, California.

It is being marketed by Todd and Gretchen Scheid of Alain Pinel Realtors.
