Former REA Group chief operating Officer Arthur Charlaftis and wife Effie have sold Monomeath, their Melbourne home.

The Armadale-based couple paid $1,395,000 in 2002 for the four bedroom Canterbury home which was built two years earlier to a design by Lucas Morris Homes.

Since renovated, the property set on 875 sqm features a garden with pool and pool house.

A coffered ceiling is in family room with open fireplace and wet bar leading to a west-facing cocktail terrace and the north facing poolside terraces.

Kay & Burton had a $4 million to $4.4 million guide.

Arthur, who stepped down from the REA Group position in 2016, is now in childcare, the co-owner of childcare booking app KindyNow.

Effie has been involved in the industry for two decades.
