Former Quiksilver boss rides again to secure Clareville wave
The pro-surfer and former Quiksilver boss Bruce Raymond and his wife Janice have relisted their Clareville trophy home with reduced $9.5 million hopes.
The Raymond waterfront offering was designed by architect Sean Gartner for Benwarin Wines owners Allan and Janneke Bagley, with views to the north up Pittwater to Lion Island.
It was bought by the Raymonds in 2004 for $6.05 million.
The couple have since added the boathouse, jetty and beautifully landscaped gardens to the north-facing 1330 square metres on Hudson Parade at the tip of Taylors Point.
Last time, it came with hopes of setting a $13 million plus suburb high based on Clareville's high-water mark of $13.45 million being set right next door in its 2006 sale to the Press family.
There was also the sales by Boartes Consulting chief executive David Desmarchelier, who secured $12 million in 2014 for Kahala, also on Hudson Parade.
The 1663 square metre property with boatshed, gym, indoor steam and spa room sold to a US-based expat through LJ Hooker sales agent David Watson.
The Mortgage Choice founder Peter Higgins has yet to find a buyer for his sprawling 1.27 hectare estate Marara which comes with three homes, two boathouses, a wharf, slipway and 120 metre private beach on Cabarita Road.
