Set to split their time between Brisbane and Sydney, ex-Aussie cricketer Shane Watson and wife, sports reporter Lee Furlong, have sold their Bronte home for more than $10.5 million before its scheduled auction.

The couple, who paid $9 million for the home in late 2014, wanted $10 million upon its initial listing.

They have signalled intentions to divide their time between Sydney and Brisbane following the sale.

They moved in to the home after selling their Caringbah South waterfront for $3,925,000.

Set on the Hewlett Street dress circle, the four level home with ocean views from ever floor has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a theatre room.

A cabana in heated pool sits in the landscaped gardens on the 440 sqm block.

Ray White agent Ashley Bierman sold the home in conjuction with Laing + Simmons Double Bay without any price disclosure.

Watson, who has been billed the highest paid Australian cricketer over recent times by Forbes, married Lee in 2010.

The couple have a son Will, 4, and daughter Matilda, 2.
