Former Australian Ballet leading soloist Jayne Kaplan and her husband, rally car champion and owner of Hunter Holden, Adam Kaplan, have sold their Hunters Hill home.

The couple had $8.5 million hopes for the five bedroom home that they had owned for nearly two decades.

It was 1999 when they paid $2.1 million when buying from Warwick Bates, the former executive headhunter, and wife Carol.

The home with infinity pool sits next door to Bulwarra, the former home of actor Cate Blanchett and musician husband Andrew Upton.

McGrath's Tracey Dixon and Brent Courtney sold the home.

Jayne Kaplan, formerly Jane Beddoe, is currently the ambassador to the Friends of the Australia Ballet. She recently appeared in Swan Lake at the Sydney Opera House.
