Fells Boutique designer Fay Shinewell and her husband Gordon have listed their Toorak home after over three decades of ownership.

The couple paid $390,000 for the 1940s home in 1986. It now comes with a price tag of $3,975,000 after an auction had been scheduled last weekend.

The solid brick home on Turnbull Avenue comes with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a study.

A family room opens to a classical paved alfresco area in botanic terraced gardens.
