Fairfax Media director Patrick Allaway has listed his Mosman home that he bought less than two years ago.

It was secured following the $4.1 million sale of his three bedroom apartment in The Residence at Hyde Park to Fairfax Media chief executive Greg Hywood.

The Mosman home cost Allaway $3.95 million in late 2015.

A blend of sandstone, timber and glass, the Esther Road home 200 metres from Balmoral Beach  has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a barbecue terrace that overlooks landscaped gardens.

Ray White Lower North Shore agents Geoff Smith and Richard Harding have set a July 6 auction.

Patrick and wife Elizabeth sold their former Mosman home to UBS boss Matthew Grounds for $14 million in 2012.

This article was first published in the Saturday Daily Telegraph.
