The Hunters Hill home of the late Frank Baden-Powell, who co-founded the Dirty Dick's Theatre Restraunt chain, has been listed for sale.

McGrath Hunters Hill agent Tracey Dixon has a $3.25 million price guide for its March 18 auction.

Frank Baden-Powell, who was a well-regarded actor, director and city councillor of Perth, became a theatre restaurant entrepreneur.

Forming a business partnership with writer-director Coralie Condon, they opened the first theatre-restaurant in Perth in the late 1960s.

It evolved under the name Dirty Dick's into a nationwide chain.

Baden-Powell retired from the company in 1987.

In 1992 he was awarded the Order of Australia for service to the performing arts.

Set on 831 sqm, the original home with split level layout has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a lower level teen retreat.

Wide verandah decks offer harbour views while a path near the swimming pool and spa leads to the water and slipway.

It's been in the family for more than three decades.
