A Rozelle home needing some TLC has been listed with $1.4 million hopes for November 26 auction.

The two front rooms and bathroom have been renovated since it last traded for $1,173,000 in 2013, but the rear remains very much untouched.

It previously hadn't sold for nearly half a century excepting the 2013 sale.

The property at 23 Gordon Street is set on 353 sqm offers a large backyard.

The listing follows a number of expensive and unliveable homes that have hit the market in recent weeks.

The first was a crumbling Redfern terrace, once part of the estate of William Redfern, the suburbs namesake. That comes with $2.5 million asking hopes after originally being listed for $3 million.

A home with no roof in Hawthorn sold last weekend for $2.8 million and a derelict Paddington terrace fetched $1.19 million, a quick flip of $190,000 for the owner of eight months.
