Having sold his Flinders and Toorak abodes for suburb and state records, billionaire Daniel Besen has now secured his new abode.

He's quietly spent $19 million in South Yarra, on Two Birches.

He's bought the 1920s home of Ski Club Victoria board director Miranda Lansell and businessman husband Jeremy.

They had paid $2,805,000 in 2002 for the home designed by Leslie M. Perrot, the architect who also designed the former Australia Hotel in Collins Street.

The Marne Street home that sits on 885 sqm and has four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Daniel Besen, of the billionaire Besen retail family, scored two big money sales when he and his estranged wife Danielle sold their Flinders and Toorak projects.

The Toorak mansion fetched a then state record $26.25 million when bought by Phil Dreaver, the managing director at Netflow.

Miramar at Flinders followed, fetching $17 million when bought by former Good Guys whitegoods boss Andrew Muir.

Peninsula Sotheby's agent Rob Curtain sold the Flinders property, and then apparently brokered the recent off-market South Yarra deal.

Wavendon, at 100 Walsh Street, South Yarra, held the record selling in 2016 for $18 million.
