Some $7.5 million plus is expected for Cumbrae, a grand, early Victorian property surrounded by manicured gardens, in one of Balwyn’s best streets.

The extended five-bedroom, three-bathroom 1890s home boasts a Central tower with 360-degree views. There is some 800 sqm living space.

The house, listed through RT Edgar, sits on a 3072 sqm Yarrbat Avenue holding which takes its Scottish name from the Wark family ownership days.

Offers closed late last month without resulting sale.

It last sold at $5.65 million in 2010 and in 2007 at $4.35 million.

Title Tattle recalls it was sold at $1.1 million in 1989.
