Commodities downturn leaving some WA vendors stranded: SQM Research

The commodities downturn continues to affect dwelling prices in Western Australia with three Perth properties remaining on the SQM Research Top Ten Discounted Properties list.

Louis Christopher, SQM Research managing director said there were no surprises there.

"No surprises there - the commodities downturn has left many properties in the city stranded, or at least their vendors," he said.

"As the SQM Research Weekly Asking Price Index shows, house and unit prices have been falling for some time in Perth.

"Despite the buoyancy in east coast property markets, there is no sign of an easing in the downturn in Perth, or Darwin, for that matter."
