Comedian Mick Molloy has sold his east Melbourne apartment which was listed mid-year through Jock Langley, of Abercromby’s.

The park side sixth floor apartment with city skyline views came with $3.2 million to $3.5 million price guidance. It is understood to have been bought by a printing industry business owner who has dabbled in eateries.

Molloy bought the two-bedroom apartment overlooking Fitzroy Gardens on Clarendon Street in 2007 for $3,125,000 off the plan, with settlement in 2009.

Indications have been that he would be seeking a property better suited to his young twin sons, Fred and Lenny, with Title Tattle gleaning he might instead rent awaiting a correction in the toppy Melbourne market before buying back. It has been the strategy suggested by the 3MMM breakfast team finance expert Scott Pape.

The master bedroom has its own balcony in the Bates Smart-designed block.

The European kitchen flows through to lounge and dining areas that open to a terrace.

The Salta-built apartment comes with parking for two cars and storage room.

The complex has a 24-hour concierge, cinema, gym, 25-metre pool, steam room and sauna.
