The South Yarra penthouse of developer Michael Fox has sold for $9.12 million.

Prestige Homes of Victoria, Christies International agents Sean Cussell and Natalie Frid sold the apartment.

Fox hung on to the apartment which sits in the 2015 built Central South Yarra block that he built.

The 30 level, 367 apartment block was designed by Rothelowman in collaboration with Plus Architecture.

The 600 square metre property came complete with a fit out by local design firm Mim Design with fully automated technology.

The iPad controlled apartment has Sonos speakers in all of the main rooms, wall-mounted TVs in three bedroom, keypad entry to the apartment and car park where there's garaging for nine cars.

Each of the four bedrooms have their own ensuite and walk in wardrobes, while the master bedroom ensuite features a steam room.

There's an adults retreat with a custom fitted bar, separate formal and informal living areas and a lap plunge pool.
