CBRE Group Inc. has appointed Daniel Queenan as the chief operating officer of the company’s Asia Pacific business, effective August 1.

Queenan, who will relocate from Chigaco to CBRE’s Hong Kong office, will work with chief executive Robert Blain to manage CBRE’s Asia Pacific business, with a particular emphasis on working with the company’s country and business line leaders to drive growth.

Queenan will also join CBRE’s senior executive commit, the Asia Pacific Strategy Group.

“Danny is an excellent addition to our leadership team,” says Blain.

“He brings strong management skills and a proven track record of performance to our Asia Pacific Business.

“I am very excited to have him join us and look forward to his partnership in helping to create growth and opportunity for our people and our clients,” says Blain.

Queenan is a 19-year veteran of the real estate industry and has held the position of chief executive of Trammell Crow Company, which he will continue alongside his new position.

Prior to joining CBRE, Queenan was the president and chief executive of a large US real estate development, Opus North Corporation.
