Camera-shy investors have registered to bid online for this Saturday’s auction of The Block terraces in South Melbourne.

The online bidding service is provided by inspectbidbuy.com, which specialises in live online property auctions.

Those interested were asked to pre-register beforehand and complete an auction authority form, allowing an agent to place bids on their behalf at the live auction.

Registered bidders have been asked to attend the offices of the four estate agencies to place their bids, and then provide the deposit cheque.

An onsite auction will take place on Saturday June 30 behind the closed doors of the four renovated Dorcas Street terraces. The auctions are by invitation or registration only.

Prospective buyers have registered at inspectbidbuy.com's website to bid online.
