Cable guy John Porter seeks less for Vaucluse trophy home
The Belgium based Telenet chief John Porter and his wife Susan Mougey have relisted their designer Vaucluse trophy home.
After the family's move to Europe early last year, it was listed at $11 million plus, but failed to sell.
McGrath's Ben Collier and Black Diamondz's Monika Tu are saying around $10 million, indicating that ambitious desires are typically not being met in the prestige market, despite the headlines.
Designed by US architect Tom Rivard, the four-storey residence was rebuilt in 2009.
The Hillside Avenue, Vaucluse home comes with mezzanine-style bedroom wings, home theatre, self-contained guest quarters, poolside cabana, within Will Dangar-designed gardens.
It last traded in 2006 for $7.17 million.
Porter has been at Telenet Group having more than 20 years of management experience in the US and Australian subscription television industries before that.
