The Tamarama home of sports and entertainment manager, Basil Scaffidi and his wife Catherine has been snappily sold for a suburb record $11.2 million.

The Thompson Street home, known as Pavilion House, edged out the $11 million Built chairman Marco Rossi and his partner Stephanie Stokes paid in 2008.

Scaffidi, the Bronte Surf Club president, paid $3,625,000 in 2005 for the property overlooking the beach and commissioned Walter Barda to design the residence on 390 sqm in 2012.

Spanning three levels with internal lift, the Hampton-style sandstone and timber home has five bedrooms, a home theatre, gym, 500 bottle wine cellar and a resort-style pool.

Scaffidi co-founded Sports and Entertainment Limited with James Erskine, Tony Cochrane and the late David Coe.
