A modern home in bayside Brighton, split in to two houses, has been listed for sale following its recent completion.

The six-star energy rated, seven bedroom home designed by V:Arkiteks is split in to two residences, linked by a wide gallery-like hallway.

The front home comprises four bedrooms across its two levels which are connected by a sculptured curved stair case by Enzie Stairs.

One of the upstairs bedrooms is a master, complete with its own walk in wardrobe and ensuite. Downstairs is the open plan kitchen, living and sitting room.

The rear residence, along the hallway, has another three bedrooms, again including a master with ensuite and walk in, as well as another kitchen, living and dining space.

Dividing the two aspects of the home is a decked courtyard and solar heated swimming pool on the 820 sqm Iona Avenue block which last traded for $1.6 million in 2016 when there was an original Californian bungalow on the site.

Kay & Burton Bayside agents Tracy Tian Belcher and Jason Wedge had a $4.5 million to $4.95 million guide in April.

It has now been adjusted to $4 million to $4.4 million.
