British expats Brian Ames, who was a director of Harrods Management, and wife, Dr Diane Ames have listed their Brisbane penthouse to return to England.

They paid $4.5 million for the designer New Farm apartment in the Freshwater development in 2014.

A towering glassed grand foyer frames the Grey Street apartment's entry.

Further floor to ceiling glass allows for internal Brisbane river views, while a 34 metre balcony runs along the riverside. Spanning 468 sqm, the three bedroom, three bathroom apartment features a reading room, a large glass walled home office and a temperature controlled wine cellar. Ray White Albion agent David Treloar has the offering.

At Harrods Management Brian was tasked to look after national and international VIP's, working with many celebrities and royals.
