Batsman Brad Hodge sells Toorak apartment for $1.3 million

Victorian cricketer Brad Hodge sold his Toorak apartment.

The Bruce Street apartment fetched $1.3 million through Marshall White agent James McCormack with five bidders competing for the art deco offering.

Bidding began at $1 million on the three bedder and was declared on the market at $1.275 million.

It is in the block of 14. It last sold in March 2010 for $1.025 million.

It is a much traded apartment have previously also sold at $890,000 in 2007; $701,000 in 2003; $545,000 in 2001; $337,500 in 1995; $212,000 in 1987; 165,000 in 1984 and $110,000 in 1982.

A Melbourne auction clearance rate of 79 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 76 per cent last weekend and 69 per cent this weekend last year.

There were 1291 auctions reported to the REIV today.
