An award winning tri-level architecturally home designed by the late architect, Ermin Smrekar at San Remo has sold for $5,589,000.

Miramare was listed without success in 2013.

San Remo is located in close proximity to the entrance of Phillip Island.

Located on a manicured land holding of eight hectares, the five bedroom, four bathroom clifftop house comes with a unique design of three wedges.

Set in the coastal town, 135 Punch Bowl Road was listed by the Richardson family with an initial asking price of $5.5 million.

It was sold through Eview Group Australia agent Leanne Poulton.

Perched above the cliffs on the Anderson Peninsula, the mid-1980s house was designed by architect Ermin Smrekar.

The property boasts 360-degree views of Bass Strait, Cape Woolamai and Kilcunda.

One of the five bedrooms is a loft and is reached via a ship’s ladder.

Phillip Island saw strong prestige sales activity during 2020 including Peter Anastasiou, the executive chairman at the publicly listed bio pharmaceutical Microbiome company Immuron, and wife Kristine, snapping up the historic 33 hectare Trenavin Park at Ventnor, on the western side of the island.

The historic Trenavin Park sold for $8.15 million having had a price guide of $7 million to $7.7 million through Christie's international Prestige Homes of Victoria listing agents Sean Cussell and Marcus Heron.

The property features a fully restored 1900s chapel, once the original San Remo Catholic Church.

Anastasiou sold their weekender at Smiths Beach, on the other side of the island, for $5 million.
