Australia's cheapest houses - Mullewa's $60,000 offerings: Investar

Mullewa is the cheapest suburb to purchase a house across Australia, according to Investar’s latest market report.

The property investment firm states that the median price for a house in Mullewa is $60,000.

Mullewa is a town in the Mid West region of Western Australia, 450 kilometres north of Perth and 98 kilometres east-northeast of Geraldton.

It is the gateway to Wildflower country.

Its affordable pricing is followed by Norseman in WA at $65,000 and Andamooka at $75,000 in South Australia.

Mullewa has a four bedroom home at 68 Jose St (above) that is for sale for $65,000. It last sold at $69,000 in 2006.

Another example would be a three bedroom home at 8 Main Road (below) that is for sale from $65,000.

The fibro residence, on 849 sqm, is tenanted at $185 per week, an almost 15 percent gross rental yield.
