A team of Australian designers and architects are on their way to China for a busy Beijing Design Week.

Australian delegates will be building relationships between Australian and Chinese design industries.

The Australian delegation tasked with promoting our design and architecture include Debbie Ryan, founding principle of architecture practice McBride Charles Ryan. The practice is responsible for some of Victoria's standout contemporary homes, including the Klein Bottle House and Fitzroy North's Cloud House.

Oliver Kratzer, chairman of the Australian Design Alliance and Kenneth Cato, the director of Cato Brand Partners, will also be part of the Australian team heading to Beijing.

Other Australians attending the festival include design academics like Ian McArthur, senior design lecturer at the University of New South Wales Art & Design, and Rohan Nicol, head of Gold and Silversmithing at the Australian National University School of Art.
