Australian cricket legend Adam Gilchrist sells Eagle Bay land parcel
Australian cricket legend Adam Gilchrist and wife Melinda have sold a vacant land parcel in Perth's pricey holiday hamlet, Eagle Bay.
They sold the 1600 sqm corner block for $940,000 having paid $290,000 in 1999, just after Gilchrist won the Cricket World Cup with Australia.
It was secured just a month after he made his Test debut.
The block has Peppermint trees set just 300 metres to the beach.
Stocker Preston Dunsborough agent Peter De Chiera had the listing.
The couple have held a three bedroom home in Eagle Bay since 2012 when they paid $2.2 million which was a nice purchase as the price had gone backwards from its $2.3 million trade in 2006.
They have been Subacio based since 2003.
Gilchrist, considered one of the best wicket-keeper-batsman in the history of the game, made 96 Test appearances for Australia and is now a commentator for Channel 10 for the Big Bash T20 tournament.
